Can you name that holiday ad?
If you think you know your holiday ads and like a bit of trivia, then please join us today (December 12th) at 11am EST || 4pm GMT || 5pm CET.
We’ll be streaming live at the same time on YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitch, and Kick so you can join in and test your Holiday ads knowledge on your preferred platform!
What is “dog fooding”?
In the SaaS world, dog fooding your product means that you use your product in the same way that you hope your customers will use it.
For example, if Mailchimp built, managed and broadcast its emails using its own app, then in tech terms, it’s dog fooding its product.

The biggest reason to do this is that it provides the company employees with real empathy for the challenges and roadblocks that their users might face.
In other words, walk a mile in someone else's shoes to understand their problems.
Dog-fooding StreamAlive. Again.
Last year and earlier this year we ran the StreamAlive showcase events where we brought experts from different walks of life to talk with the StreamAlive community.
We used a simple Zoom set up to run these events, and overall they were very successful - nearly 3,000 people joined us in the events.
The down side was that finding experts, coordinating schedules, promoting the events, and the general logistics involved was taking up more and more time.
We want to continue to use StreamAlive and dog food the product, but this time we’re going to take a different approach.
Public livestreaming instead of closed events
Now that we have the StreamAlive Chrome Extension available, it opens up StreamAlive to be used on multiple streaming sites via platforms like Restream, StreamYard, and the fast growing EVMux (will soon be supported by StreamAlive).
To get the word out that StreamAlive is for any type of live session, we’re going all-in on livestreaming.
This is the goal: Every day we’ll be streaming about something. Whether it’s for 20 minutes or an hour, or longer, we’re going to be streaming every day.
Our livestreaming schedule
Hopefully you can join us today (no registration required, just turn up on the livestream) for our Holiday Ads live quiz on one of the streaming platforms, but trivia isn’t the only thing we’ll be streaming about.
(Lux and Donkin probably won’t be hosting all our livestreams, but they look so handsome we decided to use their profile pics on the banners!)
