What's the point of AI to engage an audience? (actual question asked)
Let's Unmute The Audience🎙️. Down with boring, one-way presentations 😡
Hi there!
In this newsletter:
Today! Storytelling for business owners: Facts tell, stories sell
What’s the point of AI in presentations? Lux has a theory…
What type of audience member do you identify as?
New: What’s that sound? (No really, we just launched it)
Why storytelling beats advertising—every time
If you’ve found that your advertising is no longer working or your spending more and more on ads for lower returns, it’s time to rethink the stories you’re telling.
This week, we’re delighted to have TEDx speaker, storytelling coach, and facilitator, Sundari Mukherjea join us for our weekly webinar.
Sundari has been helping businesses rejuvenate themselves by telling stories over brute-force advertising.
She’ll be bringing the receipts as well. Showing you examples and lessons from businesses that turned around their fortunes when they switched to storytelling over advertising.
Don’t forget to check out our other upcoming events in June!

Last week, Lux and Tina were at the Zoom HQ in San Francisco for Llama Lounge.
Ten AI startups (from among 900+ considered) were invited to speak in front of a huge crowd of investors, AI enthusiasts, journalists, and even Zoom CEO, Eric Yuan!
We’re so proud that StreamAlive was one of them! 🤗
Our favorite part came when Lux was presenting on stage, and he was asked:
Why does StreamAlive need AI to engage an audience?
Lux replied: “Have you ever been bored during a presentation?”
Everyone nodded😴
“Why?” Lux asked. And no one replied 😶
Lux continued…“The silence is exactly why we need AI to engage an audience! If you could respond on chat, AI can synthesize responses from the entire audience, and we can create an instant knowledge graph of why people get bored during meetings.”
There were no more questions after that 😁
Over 40 people came to get a demo of the product and asked our AI to come up with interactions on topics ranging from sailing in the San Francisco Bay to investing in multi-family homes.
What type of audience member are you?
Tatiana Rodriguez and I (Peter) did an incredible virtual session last week teaching Ecamm (I love their software!) users how to boost audience engagement during virtual events.
Tatiana started things off by asking what type of audience member you are. She came up with these incredible emojis to personify different types of audience members.
So, are you the brave one? The Unlucky tech one? Or are you a Textrovert?
The chat was on fire, which is no surprise because the Ecamm community are enthusiastic folks. We had people joining from every continent, which was amazing!
Make your presentations “pop”. Literally!
StreamAlive has always been a visual tool, but with our newly added sounds, it’s now an audio-visual engagement tool!
On Magic Maps, you can play a notification sound every time someone enters their location on the map.
In Talking Tiles, you’ll hear a ‘swoosh’ when the tiles leave your screen.
We’re working on adding more sound effects to our other interactions. We can’t wait to show you the applause when someone gets selected in the Winning Wheel!
As always, we’d love to know your feedback in our community!
