Fixing PowerPointâs biggest problem
Whatâs the difference between most PowerPoint slides and the PowerPoint deck below?
The yellow slides are written by the audience.
The other slides are what the presenter has to say.
By inserting âlisteningâ slides into your presentation you can create more memorable events for your audience.
This is how we think all PowerPoint presentations should be created.
To learn how to create interactive PowerPoint slides with polls, word clouds, interactive maps, spinner wheels, and more, join our live workshops this week.

50 tips to being a better virtual presenter
At the end of this month (November), weâre publishing a book on 50 tips to being a better virtual presenter.
Weâve had the whoâs who of presenters, facilitators, educators, and live streamers submit their tips to help you become a better virtual presenter.
Weâve still got a few spaces left, so if youâve got a tip that youâve learned from all your virtual presenting experience, weâd love to include it in the book!
All submissions come with your name and mention of your company and/or LinkedIn profile.
The deadline is November 14th.
What happens when people type Wakanda or Hogwarts into Magic Maps?
StreamAliveâs Magic Maps feature is our most popular interaction. We canât imagine starting a webinar or live stream without it.
Very early on we noticed that some clever people were entering fictional locations when we asked âwhere are you joining from?â
Magic Maps uses an open source location library (which is why sometimes it doesnât recognize the localized spelling or historical names of places) and fictional locations are definitely not encouraged!
So we built our own library of places that people might type in.
For example, any one typing in Atlantis, or Hogwarts, or Wakanda, are rewarded with little (software) easter eggs on the map.
We have over 50 fictional locations with these little easter eggs. How many have you spotted so far?
Suggest a new fictional location
If youâve got an idea for a fictional location and Magic Maps didnât locate it for you, please let us know and weâll add it in (with credit, of course!).
