Oops, is our ProductHunt launch about to fail? 😱
The latest news from StreamAlive and the world of online, offline, and hybrid live events.
Hi there!
By this stage we thought we’d be the #1 product on ProductHunt.
But we’re languishing at #3 ðŸ˜
We’re being pushed down to #3 spot by yet another AI co-pilot app and a knowledgebase app 😡
Can you help us overtake these apps and take the #1 spot?
It’ll sort of be like snatching victory from the jaws of defeat if we make it to #1.
What’s been happening so far…
We’ve received 170 up-votes at the time of writing. That’s good enough for 3rd place, but our goal was to be the number one product of the day!
In the ProductHunt dashboard, they give you lots of cool stats about how your launch is going, so we thought we’d share them with you here.
We’ve had 80 comments so far as well, making it one of the most active launches of the day. But comments don’t count towards your ranking, only votes do.
That said, we’re really happy with the feedback we’ve been getting in the comments. People have quickly grasped how much of a difference StreamAlive can make to boring Zoom calls.
A big recurring theme has been people asking in the comments if StreamAlive is supported on other platforms like Google Meet, Teams, and Twitch - which of course it is, and is encouraging to see!
Traffic to the website has taken off as well. This is the real-time report in Google Analytics. We peaked at just over 20 visitors in a 30 minute time-frame, but I forgot to take a screenshot of that 😶
Something that is different from our last launch two years ago is that our company LinkedIn inbox (and personal inboxes) has been filled with users offering to promote our launch to their followers.
We’re not sure how much difference it makes to the success of a ProductHunt launch though, probably very little.
So…

Conquer your virtual stage fright 👻
If you’ve ever watched a video of Tatiana Rodriguez, you might think that being on camera and presenting to an unseen audience comes naturally to some people.
That couldn’t be further from the truth.
When Tatiana first made the shift to teaching virtual classes, she had all the classic symptoms of stage fright…
Racing heart
Cold sweats
Frozen on stage
Since she couldn’t see her audience, she didn’t know how her presentation was being received and found it difficult to ‘read the room’ and adapt her classes accordingly.
Over time, she learned techniques to slow her racing heart, to stop the cold sweats, and to let the words flow.
She’s now teaching her strategies to others who clam up when asked to turn on their camera, or present findings to an unseen audience.
