š¤ÆI didn't even know this was possible in a virtual meeting
The latest news from StreamAlive and the world of online, offline, and hybrid live events.
Hi there! In this weekās newsletter:
I didnāt know you could do that in a virtual meeting!
NEW! Shareable images of your audience interactions
What weāve been readingā¦
šI didnāt know that was possible!
Yesterday I was speaking to Said Saddouk about his upcoming #StreamAliveShowcase workshop on creating interactive events.
(Thereās still time to save your seat for this event here.)
I logged into the Zoom meeting and stopped dead in my tracks.
He had StreamAliveās Magic Maps interaction as an overlay on the wall behind him.
Said looked quite smug. āPretty cool, huh?ā he said, stating the obvious!
Hell, yeah! What an amazing way to show off audience interactions without using traditional slides.
Then he said, āwatch this!ā
And he did something with Magic Maps that I didnāt even know was possible.
I donāt think even our CEO knows what Said did was possible.
This is such a small moment in a longer session, but with moments like this sprinkled throughout your event, you can hold peopleās attention š§², even when they have a million distractions around them.
You see, for Said, creating virtual meetings that donāt feel like meetings is what he specializes in.
He uses tools and technology to achieve small āwowā moments in meetings that keep people hooked šŖ and engaged š throughout the session.
To achieve these wow moments and capture the virtual audienceās attention, Said uses Zoom, OBS Studio, StreamDeck, and StreamAlive, among many other tools.
On May 29th, heās hosting a workshop showing you how to use tools like this to create interactive virtual meetings with small āwowā moments where your attendees forget they are in a virtual meeting.
Whether you're running workshops, training sessions, or regular team meetings, this session will introduce you to innovative tools like OBS Studio, StreamDeck and StreamAlive, ensuring your events are productive, but also fun and memorable.
Registration is free, but seats are limited so save your seat today.

What weāve been reading
Weāve covered some weird and wonderful livestreams in our newsletters over the last couple of years.
Who can forget the fabulous fish doorbell livestream?
But this live stream might be for people who think watching paint dry is a bit too high energy for them.
The pitch drop experiment was created in 1927 to demonstrate the surprising qualities of pitchāthe thickest known fluid.
In the 87 years since the experiment has been active, only nine drops of pitch have dropped out of the funnel.
The last drop was in 2014.
They expect the tenth drop to happen some time in the next six years.
For those who want to say āI was there!ā when the drop happens, the University of Queensland has set up a livestream of the experiment.
