A double dose of StreamAlive: Powering two monumental live sessions
The latest news from StreamAlive and the world of online, offline, and hybrid live events.
Hi there!
The last week saw StreamAlive used in two live sessions with hundreds of attendees. It was a big test for the app as it was the first time it was being used by so many people on Zoom webinars.
We’re happy to report it was a huge success—the live sessions and the app performance.
Here’s a quick rundown of how StreamAlive kept such big audiences engaged and glued to their screens.
Writing viral content for the internet
Last Wednesday we were thrilled to host Devaiah Bopanna and have him dissect the techniques to go viral on the internet.
We had people joining from all over, but unsurprisingly many of you tuned in from different parts of India!
People had a lot to say about what they hoped to learn from the session. All these thoughts were captured in Talking Tiles.
The more people saw others’ thoughts appear, the more they were encouraged to share their own thoughts.
Perhaps unsurprisingly in a live session about writing viral content, Wonder Words showed us that copywriters and content writers dominated the audience.
Post-event, the engagement even continued on social media. The workshop inspired others to create and share their own thoughts and learnings on viral content.
One guest even declared on LinkedIn that “it was criminal for such content to be given away for free!”
Don’t miss out on our upcoming live sessions. We have some exciting creators and influencers lined up for September and October.
NAS Academy: How to grow an online community from 0-100k
The NAS Academy (the educational arm of NAS.io) helps creators boost their reach, authority and income using social media. They conduct regular free workshops that attract hundreds of users.
For their latest workshop on how to grow your online community, they used StreamAlive to keep their audience engaged throughout the 60-minute session.
As you can see from Magic Maps, they had audience members join from all over the world!
They used Wonder Words to find out what kind of communities people are creating. Once the audience saw that they were being heard, everyone wanted to let others know about their community!
Patty Nicolas, the NAS community manager, had some nice things to say about how StreamAlive helps to visualize the chat.
Thanks for your kind words, Patty!

The Slide-Streaming & Livestreaming TL;DR
It’s been a busy week in the world of livestreaming and slide-streaming. Here’s a rundown of the stories we’ve been reading:
🏀NBA star, James Harden, sells 10,000 bottles of wine in 14 seconds
We’ve all read the stories about how big livestream commerce is in China. Last week NBA star, James Harden, got to see that for himself. He joined the livestream of a popular influencer in China with over 15 million viewers. When his $60 wine went on sale it sold out in 14 seconds, netting $300,000 for Harden.
🚫Twitch finally lets streamers ban and block viewers from watching their livestreams
A feature that has been requested by streamers for years looks like it’s finally coming to the Twitch platform. The simple act of banning viewers from watching future livestreams. It seems like such an obvious thing to be able to do, so who knows why?
🦈Baby Shark creator earns millions of dollars from YouTube
On the one hand, you might have created the most annoying song in the world, on the other hand, you’ve earned millions of dollars from it. The most viewed videos on YouTube are showing a shift towards children’s content, perhaps as sleep-deprived parents switch on the nursery rhymes and hope for an hour of peace in the house.
